If it rains, we roll with it. Truly.

The only time weather becomes stressful is when it’s allowed to steal the joy from the day. You don’t need to be soaked, uncomfortable, or standing in a downpour — but staying flexible and open-minded goes a long way.

A few umbrellas, a bit of cover, or even embracing a light drizzle can create some of the most romantic, emotional photos of the entire day. Rainy weddings often end up being favourites — not in spite of the weather, but because of it.

"will my dress get dirty

during photos?"

Short answer? Maybe a little — and that’s okay.

This is the one day you get to wear this dress, live fully in it, and make memories in it. Getting a little sand, grass, or dust on the hem is incredibly normal, and almost never noticeable in photos.

The most meaningful images usually come from movement, connection, and being present — not from standing still trying to protect the bottom of your gown.

If a venue is new to me, I always arrive early to walk the space, find the best light, and plan accordingly. After photographing so many different locations over the years, I’m very comfortable adapting quickly and making the most of any environment.

Great photos come from light, timing, and connection — not familiarity alone.
